Tim Mcgraw Tickets – Mcgraw Keeps Acting And Performing Life Busy

Tim Mcgraw Tickets – Mcgraw Keeps Acting And Performing Life Busy

It takes a certain level of entertaining talent for a country star to cross over into mainstream success, and Tim McGraw is showing he has the Midas touch when it comes to projects. His rise to stardom began with his country music career, but he has since expanded his empire to include parts in critically acclaimed films, as well. His career is continuing at breakneck speed in both music and film, exemplified by his upcoming commitments.

Tim McGraw wowed as an actor first in the football film Friday Night Lights and then with Sandra Bullock in the award-winning film The Blind Side. He has wrapped up filming for his next film, Love Don’t Let Me Down, with stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Leighton Meester and Garrett Hedlund. Another long list of stars is lined up for his next role in the film Dirty Girl. The film also stars Milla Jovovich, William H. Macy, Dwight Yoakam, Mary Steenburgen and Juno Temple. Dirty Girl takes place in the late 1980s and follows two teenagers â??a girl with a bad reputation and a confused boy evading military schoolâ??as they run away together.  The film will be produced by Rob Paris, Jana Edelbaum and Rachel Cohen.

His film roles, though, do not indicate that McGraw isn’t focused on his music career. He will show the talent that originally garnered him fame when he takes the stage on April 18 in Las Vegas at the 45th annual Academy of Country Music Awards. The show will be hosted by veteran host Reba McEntire and will air live on CBS. Also performing will be stars like Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Brooks & Dunn, Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins. McGraw isn’t up for any awards this time around, but he is no stranger to winning ACM Awards.

Tim McGraw will honor another country music legend on April 10, when he takes place in a Kenny Rogers television special called “The First 50 Years.” The show will be filmed at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Ledyard, Conn. and will air at a later date. Also performing for the special will be stars like Darius Rucker, Lionel Ritchie, Wynonna Judd, Dolly Parton and more. On May 5, McGraw will perform in Jacksonville, Fla. at the Players Championship Golf Tournament for Military Appreciation Day. The show will be free for all military personnel.

John Mayer Tickets – John Mayer Recruits Avett Brothers, Train And Owl City For Summer Tour

John Mayer is currently on the road with Spearhead supporting his latest album Battle Studies, and Paste magazine reported that the rocker has recruited the Avett Brothers, Train and Owl City to join him for the next leg of his tour. Spearhead will remain on the road with Mayer until mid-April, stopping in cities like Fargo, N.D. and Chicago, Ill., after which point the “Your Body Is a Wonderland” singer will cross the pond to perform in the U.K. and in European cities like Copenhagen, Amsterdam and Madrid.

John Mayer’s 2010 North American Summer Tour will launch from Charlotte, N.C. on July 16 and the two-month trek will see him performing in amphitheaters scattered across the States and Canada through early September. On tour supporting their latest album Save Me, San Francisco, Train will likely perform their recent hit single “Hey, Soul Sister” when they open for John Mayer in cities like Virginia Beach, Va.; Wantagh, N.Y.; Scranton, Pa.; Cincinnati, Ohio; Clarkston, Mich. and more.

Grammy Award-winning pop-rock band Train will perform their last date with John Mayer on July 31 in Camden, N.J., at which point the Avett Brothers will begin their stint supporting Mayer. Hailing from North Carolina, the rising folk rock act released their major label debut, I and Love and You, via the Columbia imprint American Recordings last year. I and Love and You is the Avett Brothers’ 13th album and the band will take the stage to perform songs off the record before John Mayer in cities like Bristow, Va.; Homdel, N.J.; Mansfield, Mass.; Saratoga, N.Y.; Toronto, Ontario and Noblesville, Ind. in August.

Owl City, aka Adam Young, has been garnering rave reviews for his debut album Ocean Eyes, and the Minnesota native will perform tracks like “Hello Seattle” when on tour with John Mayer. Before Mayer takes the stage to perform tracks off Battle Studies, Owl City will open for him in cities like Phoenix, Ariz.; Mountain View, Calif.; Los Angeles, Calif.; Irvine, Calif. and Morrison, Colo. through early September. Between Spearhead, the Avett Brothers, Train and Owl City, fans with <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);” href=”http://www.stubhub.com/john-mayer-tickets/”>John Mayer tickets</a> will be treated to quite a show this spring and summer!

Kenny G Tickets – Finding Romance In Sweet Latin Rhythm

Kenny G Tickets – Finding Romance In Sweet Latin Rhythm

He’s got tons of smooth jazz rhythm and makes women swoon at the sound of his sweet saxophone lullabies, and now he’s combining that beat and passion in the tour extension for the 2008 hit Rhythm & Romance. Finishing up his tour late April with sporadic dates since January 2010 – in Phoenix, Beaver Creek, Houston, Thackerville and Branson – this veteran jazz performer continues to show everyone a good time. Supporting the ninth studio set and first Latin jazz album, <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);” href=”http://www.stubhub.com/kenny-g-tickets/”>Kenny G tickets</a> are now available from http://www.stubhub.com.

From samba and salsa to ballads and bossa nova, Kenny G’s latest album Rhythm & Romance is a complete departure from everything fans of this Seattle native have come to love, though the effort is still pieced together with great compilation and expertise. The Latin album from Kenny G, produced by Walter Afanasieff, features Latin artists like guitarist Ramon Stagnaro, legendary drummer Alex Acuña and percussionists Michito Sanchez, Paulino Da Costa and Ron Powell on the February release. “Musically, this is nothing like I have ever done before,” Kenny G said on his website.

To say an album is totally unique after more than 75 million albums sold is anything but a light statement, but for Kenny G, who was first found inspiration from the Ed Sullivan Show, he’s working on uncharted territory. “Everyone loves the rhythm of Latin music,” added Kenny. “It makes you feel good; it makes you want to dance. At the same time, it is very intimate and personal.” The result is a combination of Kenny G’s longtime lovable flare and a spicy yet soft rhythm of Latin beats. Recorded in Los Angeles’ Conway Recording Studios, the album had been a long time coming for Kenny G, who had been hearing Latin tunes swirl around his head for months.

The result is another high-level performance album that made the top of the Top Contemporary Jazz charts and No. 14 on the Billboard 200. Though it’s been released for over two years now, Kenny G has been able to continuously support the popular record. Earning praise from South American cities during a Rhythm & Romance preview tour, Kenny knew that as the country embraced his new album years ago, so would the rest of his fans.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Have Been Around For More Than Three Decades

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers have been around for more than three decades but that doesn’t mean they’ve said all they have to say (or sing). After releasing a four-disc compilation called The Live Anthology in November last year featuring the greatest hits of the band so far as well as a few The Grateful Dead, Fleetwood Mad and James Brown covers, this spring Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers are to release their 11th studio album after an eight-year break, Mojo. The exact date has not been announced yet but fans are eagerly anticipating the new tracks many of which will be available for free download with the online purchase of tickets for their 2010 tour. All fans who buy tickets online will be able to download for free the two tracks of Tom Petty’s new album, “First Flash Of Freedom” and “Good Enough,” and after the official release of the album, they will be able to download all tracks for free. The Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers 2010 North America tour will kick off on May 6 in Raleigh, NC, and will end August 27 in Saratoga Springs, NY. Meanwhile the band will visit 36 cities throughout the US and Canada including Tampa, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Diego, Vancouver, Seattle, Milwaukee, Chicago, Detroit, New York, Atlanta, Nashville, Boston, Toronto, and many others. Joe Cocker, Drive-By Truckers, My Morning Jacket and Crosby, Stills and Nash will be special guests on the tour. The band that was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002 and received numerous Grammy nominations throughout their long career are also to be headliners for this year’s Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI in the end of June. It appears it will be a very busy summer for Mike Campbell, Tom Petty, Scott Thurston, Ron Blair, Benmont Tench, and Steve Ferrone, and a fun one for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers fans. Imogen Heap Tickets – Making ‘Ellipse’ Sound Fantastic

Imogen Heap Tickets – Making ‘Ellipse’ Sound Fantastic

After showcasing her talents on the small stage of Coachella’s indie rock music fest mid-April in Indio, Calif., Imogen Heap jumped into orbit as she announced tour dates for the rest of summer. The British star has seen her singles “Hide and Seek,” “Just for Now” and “Goodnight and Go” achieve underground and mainstream success. She now continues to support her latest effort Ellipse.

See her leap to new heights as she headlines arenas around North America this spring, hitting Detroit’s Fillmore, Orlando’s House of Blues, Houston’s Verizon Wireless Theater, Seattle’s Paramount and more through the middle of June. Feel the whimsical presence of the latest release with <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);” href=”http://www.stubhub.com/imogen-heap-tickets/”>Imogen Heap tickets</a> from http://www.stubhub.com.

Talking to LiveDaily following her Coachella performance, Heap revealed that she likes to write as unconventionally as possible. “I discovered that I don’t need to sit in a room like an asylum, and write music and force myself to stay in these four walls. It kind of occurred to me that now maybe I have a little cash, and I could actually…I have the time to go outside of the studio.” The result of these “outside” sessions was the summer release Ellipse, a set that peaked fifth on the Billboard 200 charts, the Brit’s highest appearance to date.

The album was a follow-up to the 2005 critically acclaimed Speak for Yourself, an album that earned her attention as it was the U.S. solo debut from this Frou Frou vocalist. Though Heap had already released the full-length I Megaphone in 1998, the 2005 version was a departure from anything fans would come to expect from the star who had gained notoriety with her alternative rock outfit.

Sugarland Tickets – Sugarland Adds Multiple CMT Award Nominations

Sugarland is no longer considered one of the rookie groups in country music. In fact, Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush could easily be labeled tried-and-true performers in the country scene. By the looks of things, their star is only on the rise with every new album.  Their respect in the music scene was apparent when this year’s CMT Music Awards nominations list was released. Along with Lady Antebellum and Jason Aldean, Sugarland leads the nominations with four. The ninth annual CMT Music Awards will be held on June 9 at 8 p.m. in Nashville and will be shown live.

Sugarland landed two separate nominations in the Duo Video of the Year category, for “Keep You” and “Nightswimming/Joey.” Brooks & Dunn (who are in their final year as a duo) also have two nominations in the category, for “Indian Summer” and “My Maria (Invitation Only).” Also nominated in the category are Joey & Rory for “Play the Song,” Steel Magnolia for “Keep on Lovin’ You,” Caitlin & Will for “Address in the Stars” and Bomshel for “Fight Like a Girl.”

Sugarland’s next nomination is for Collaborative Video of the Year for their performance of “Love Shack” with the B-52s. They are up against Kellie Pickler and Taylor Swift (“Best Days of Your Life”), Jason Aldean and Bryan Adams (“Heaven”), Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins (“Hillbilly Bone”), Brooks & Dunn and Billy Gibbons (“Honky Tonk Stomp”), Kenny Chesney and Dave Matthews (“I’m Alive”), John Mellencamp and Karen Fairchild (“Ride Back Home”) and Shooter Jennings and Jamey Johnson (“Somewhere Between Jennings and Jones [from CMT Crossroads]“). Their performance with the B-52s was also nominated for CMT Performance of the Year, where they will go up against Reba McEntire, Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley and Jason Aldean with Bryan Adams.

Kristian Bush may be a little out of his element for the band’s upcoming set of tour dates, and not because he gets stage fright. Instead, he and Nettles are set to be part of the female-dominated Lilith Fair tour. The buzz has been growing around the 2010 Lilith Fair, as it has been over a decade since the last Lilith Fair. The Fair kicks off in Calgary, Alberta on June 17 and continues throughout the U.S. and Canada, hitting spots like Seattle, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Boston and more.

Lollapalooza Tickets – Lollapalooza 2010 Lineup Impresses Once Again

Lollapalooza Tickets – Lollapalooza 2010 Lineup Impresses Once Again

After months of anticipation, festival organizers for this summer’s Lollapalooza Festival finally gave up the goods and announced the lineup on April 6. In March, festival organizers began to leak information about Lollapalooza 2010 via a Wheel of Fortune-meets-hangman game on its official website. Pollstar.com reported that as of March 31 organizers revealed that every “O” contained in the bands’ named booked for Lollapalooza and “R” was added the following day. The speculation about performers heated up and all questions were answered on April 6, when the headliners were announced to be Green Day, Phoenix and The Strokes.

Also headlining Lollapalooza at Chicago’s Grant Park Aug. 6-8 will be Lady Gaga and the reunited Seattle quartet Soundgarden. The impressive bill also features Arcade Fire, MGMT, Social Distortion, Jimmy Cliff, Hot Chip, the Black Keys, Spoon, Devo, Cypress Hill, the National, Cut Copy, Erykah Badu, Slightly Stoopid, the New Pornographers, Wolfmother, Yeasayer, X Japan, Grizzly Bear, Gogol Bordello, Matt & Kim, Chromeo, Metric, AFI, Dirty Projectors, Mavis Staples, MUTEMATH, the xx, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Drive-By Truckers, Blues Traveler, the Walkmen and many more. Festival founder and Jane’s Addiction founder Perry Farrell will be among the DJs “Spinning at Perry’s” along with Empire of the Sun, Tiga, Felix Da Housecat, 2ManyDJs, Digitalism, Kaskade, Rusko and Erol Alkan.

Billboard.com reported that Soundgarden announced plans to reunite for shows in 2010 via a Twitter message from frontman Chris Cornell on New Year’s Eve. Lollapalooza is the first confirmed appearance since the band—which also features Kim Thayil (bass), Ben Shepherd (bass) and Matt Cameron (drums)—splintered in 1997. Lollapalooza is the only confirmed 2010 gig for Arcade Fire and the Strokes; both bands are expected to release new albums this year. As for fellow headliner Lady Gaga, her Lollapalooza appearance comes in the midst of her previously announced Monster’s Ball Tour, which sees the “Telephone” singer delivering her shocking live shows at arena throughout North America in the coming months.

Perry Farrell created Lollapalooza to serve as Jane’s Addiction’s farewell tour in 1991, and in its inaugural year the festival features performances by his band, Nine Inch Nails, Siouxie and the Banshees, Butthole Surfers, Fishbone and others. Lollapalooza ran annually until 1997 before shutting down. Luckily for rock fans, Farrell revived the festival in 2001. Although Lollapalooza suffered a setback when it was cancelled in 2004 due to poor tickets sales, it remerged in its current incarnation as a three-day destination festival in Chicago in 2005.
